We've all had them or heard them... stories gone wrong because someone misread the calendar, asked for the wrong day off at work, double-scheduled or missed entirely. Don't ask me about the Rosh Hashanah we went hungry for the whole two days because we were a day off on the planned store run and food prep!

But more than holidays and dinner dates... I'm always promising to give myself a break from housework on Rosh Chodesh, only to find it's too late to make arrangements. I'm always planning to observe kiddush levanah, dancing and singing psalms under the light of the waxing moon, and then realizing I've missed it again.

Not this year.

This year I want to live by the cycle, not just look it up.

So I made myself the Jewish calendar I've always looked for, where days start with night and the moon aligns with holy days, a calendar to help me live in sacred time, with all the blessings I know I'll need this year at the back.
